5.2 | Connecting a Joystick to COMMAND

If using a compatible analog or J1939 CANBUS joystick, this can be connected to the T3H-C002 directly or via a joystick extension harness. The joystick's cable must be fitted with an 8-way Deutsch DT Plug (DT06-8S) for connection to the COMMAND ECU breakout harness.

Connect the 8-way Deutsch DT Plug to the connector on the T3H-C002 labelled "Joystick", ensuring that the joystick plug pin positions are correct. See below for the pin positions and connector information noting that this is the receptacle on the T3H-C002 ECU breakout harness. 

The mating connection will require the following parts:

  • Connector: DT06-8S / DT06-8SA
  • Contacts: 1062-16-0122 or AT62-16-0122
