Choosing an In-cab Tablet PC
T3RRA in-cab software is compatible with any 64-bit Windows 11 PC, including desktop computers, laptops and tablet PCs. While the software can be operated using a keyboard and mouse, it has been designed primarily for use with a touchscreen interface.
For most installations, a Windows tablet PC provides the best balance of portability, usability and mounting flexibility within the machine cab. We recommend using the display in landscape orientation, with a screen size of 10 inches or larger for the best operating experience.
Windows tablets are available in a wide range of performance levels, durability ratings and price points. The most suitable option depends on your operating environment and business requirements. In general, tablet PCs can be grouped into two broad categories:

However, consumer devices are generally designed for office or home use rather than continuous operation in harsh agricultural or construction environments. Exposure to vibration, dust, weather and temperature extremes can reduce reliability and service life.
When selecting a tablet, consider not only the initial purchase price but also the operational cost of unexpected downtime. Where machine availability is critical, a ruggedised tablet—or a readily available spare tablet—is strongly recommended.
Modern tablet PCs are capable of running many different applications simultaneously. To ensure reliable machine-control performance, avoid installing unnecessary software or running resource-intensive applications while operating T3RRA software. Excessive processor, memory or storage usage may reduce overall system responsiveness.
Maintain your tablet regularly. Install Windows updates, T3RRA software updates and any recommended driver or firmware updates during planned maintenance periods. Keeping the operating system and software current helps maximise system reliability and performance.
