2.4 | Hydraulic & Vehicle Interfaces

The COMMAND hardware platform supports multiple hydraulic and vehicle interface typesmethods depending on machine configuration, hydraulicinstalled architecture,COMMAND hardware, and availableenabled machineautomatic integrationcontrol capability.functions.

These interfaces allow the COMMAND ECU to control implement movement and monitor machine information during automatic control operation.control.

Supported interface types may vary depending on:

machine compatibility, installed hardware, hydraulic configuration, and supported machine profiles.

    Hydraulic Control Interfaces

COMMAND supports direct hydraulic control through compatible electrohydraulic valve systems.

Depending on machine configuration, hydraulicCOMMAND control may include:support:

    • single-channel height control,
    • dual-channel height and Cross-Slope control,
    • orand implement-specific hydraulic functions.

Supported hydraulic interface methods may include:

    • PWMSelectable hydraulicControl valveValves control,(SCVs) / auxiliary control valves,
    • analogproportional hydraulicsolenoid interfaces,valves,
    • and externallyratiometric integratedload valvesensing systems.proportional valves.

Hydraulic outputs are controlledused by the COMMAND ECUto change implement position during automatic control operationbased usingon target elevationselevation and Cross-Slope targets calculatedprovided by Level COMMAND.

    Vehicle IntegrationData Interfaces

Depending on machine compatibility, COMMAND may integrate with supportedreceive vehicle controland systemsmachine information using compatible communication interfaces.

    Supported interface methods may include:

    • J1939 vehicle communication,
    • CANBUS-basedCANBUS machine integration,communication,
    • and supported OEM hydraulicmachine controldata interfaces.

    VehicleAvailable integrationmachine capabilitydata may include:

vehicle speed, hydraulic state information, and supported machine sensor information.

Available interface methods may vary depending on machineinstalled manufacturer,COMMAND hydraulic architecture, hardware and availablemachine interface support.compatibility.

      Manual Hydraulic Operation

Manual hydraulic operation remains available wheneverwhether automatic control is Engaged or Disengaged.

Depending on machine configuration and hydraulic integration method, configuration, manual implement control may be performed using:

      • tractor SCVs,
      • joysticks,
      • external hydraulic controls,
      • or OEM machine controlhydraulic inputs.controls.

SomeThe machineArmed configurationsstate may also allow limited manual hydraulic input while automatic control is Armed.

      Automatic Control Authority

When automatic control is Engaged, enables the COMMAND ECU controlswhile preventing automatic hydraulic outputsactuation using target information calculated by Level COMMAND.

Automatic hydraulic movement may be limited or suspended if:

positioning quality becomes invalid, hydraulic faults are detected, operating conditions fall outside configured limits, oruntil automatic control disengages.is Engaged.

        Interface Compatibility

Supported hydrauliclever and vehiclejoystick integrationoperation methodsremain may vary depending on:unaffected.

machine type, hydraulic architecture, installed COMMAND hardware, software licensing, and supported machine profiles.

Refer to applicable COMMAND installation and commissioning documentation for machine-specific compatibility and hydraulic integration requirements.
